The paintings in this exhibition are from the "inventory" series.

I am concerned about the numerical ordering of people and wonder about a possible loss of identity and security.

Each painting is on a wood panel twelve inches square (30.5 cm x 30.5 cm).

The number inscribed into the surface, in half inch numerals, is the actual social insurance number of the person shown.

It is also the title of the work.

Names are never included. The 100 paintings will be hung in numerical order in the exhibition.

If you know your number you will be able to find your place in the line up.
